As winter gives way to Spring, we would like to bring focus to new energy as nature blooms once more.For the occasion the Royal Menagerie has been rented out, and the East Aldenard Trading Company is providing airship transportation to and from the city. Wander the grounds and partake in food and drinks, shopping, activities, and entertainment. Don't forget to admire the blooms! Featuring...the Egg Hunt!

Upon entering the grounds, a pamphlet and a small woven basket have come into your possession. It seems there are some collectible eggs to be found, from the booth leads and in hidden spots around the gardens. Each one looks different and may contain a [RP] prize, so collect them all!

This is an immersive RP event! Please be in character at all times.
Be respectful to staff, contributors, and guests alike--both IC and OOC.
As this is an open world event, we encourage the use of the RP tag.
Everyone roleplays at different paces so please have patience.
This is a SFW event and we do not allow NSFW goods and services.
Prices for goods and services are RP only.
We hold the right to refuse any vendors, performers, etc from our event signups, should certain aspects not align with our values.
Keep all weapons sheathed while on event grounds!
Keep any fights away from the event area in order to not disrupt other guests.

FAQ

Is this event for a real charity? NO! This is purely in character. However, we do encourage you donate to a cause you care about IRL!
Why include info about Sacred Oak? For context! Doku (the character) is the director of the Sacred Oak Foundation, and the events hosted by Twilight Fêtes will usually be operating through this foundation (IC).
What excuse would my character have to attend? Whether they come across a flyer, have business in the area, etc--the justification is up to you. Have fun! Don't bar yourself if you don't have to.
How can I get involved besides attending? See below for what we are looking for!
Do I need to have an established venue and website to sign up? No! Just fill out the necessary info on Discord.
How do I access the event area? You must have completed the Stormblood expansion MSQ. Speak with the Royal Menagerie Attendant at [x: , y: ] to enter.

Spring Equinox Ritual: Seed Planting

Join us for a ritual before the festivities officially begin! After a short speech, attendees will be invited to plant some flower seeds in a little pot (to take home) and/or in the garden; the key is to think about the goals you want to achieve! A ritual for intention setting, to manifest growth and balance in the coming year.

Did you miss the opening ceremony? Feel free to plant some seeds throughout the event!

The Sacred Oak Foundation is a nonprofit organization that strives to improve quality of life in orphanages across Eorzea and beyond, providing funding for care and health, education, necessities, and activities. To plant the seeds for brighter futures, and helping to nurture growth with a steady foundation. Our branches extend across Eorzea, Kugane, Yanxia, and Tuliyollal, with the hope of further and future expansion. Sacred Oaks' fundraising efforts include, but are not limited to, hosting interactive events.

For Starlight at Twilight, Sacred Oak will be accepting donations of clothing, learning tools, and toys, to be organized and distributed as needed based on the specific needs of each orphanage. We will also accept monetary donations, to which the East Aldenard Trading Company has agreed to match. Drop-offs can be made with Doku, N'aja, and Mazi'li.

Donations

Clothing	New and gently used clothing items, sized for infants and children of all ages, in preparation of the winter season and beyond. Clothing will be distributed based on the needs of each orphanage.
Learning Tools	Scholarly supplies, from educational and recreational tomes, to stationery and interactive learning tools.
Toys	New and/or gently used toys for fun and personal enrichment.

The Snowball Patch

The Snowball Patch offers a cheerful winter challenge courtesy of a certain mischievous fox and a group of children who seem all too happy to test passing guests. Roll when prompted to see how well your character keeps their composure as snowballs fly and laughter rings out. This is a light-hearted roleplay activity focused on mischief and seasonal fun!

Practical Magic

An assortment of enchanted items from Yvana's workshop, with a focus on things useful in everyday life. Safety charms, simple conveniences, kitchen gadgets, and so on! The sorts of things that make excellent gifts, if you find yourself stumped as to what to get for someone. Novelty commemorative snow globes are also available, designed just for the event! These are blind boxes, with several different models featuring a variety of frigid creatures and scenes.

Complex Items

Specialty items manufactured from scratch within Yvana's workshop. These are generic items, rather than bespoke commissions, and thus have been designed with broad utility and convenience in mind.

Universal Compass - A more intricate variation on the common Aether Compass, this model includes a dial upon its back which can be used to attune the needle to any of the six base elements of aether, rather than only wind. A seventh setting attunes the needle to a specific lodestone, allowing the compass to be used to point one's way home, or to some other location of choice where the lodestone has been placed. A complementary paired lodestone is included with each Universal Compass upon purchase.

Shield Medallion - All-purpose personal protective charm. A stylized miniature shield made from embossed gold upon a silver backing, which can be worn as a necklace or pinned onto one's clothing. Its protective enchantment activates in response to both kinetic and elemental forces, safeguarding the wearer against potential harm. Use of this effect expends energy, of course, but the shield will recharge its reserves passively over time. While mainly intended for those traversing dangerous lands, this effect also helps insulate against extreme heat or cold. An additional model including a regeneration enchantment is also available for the especially prudent.

Parasol of Discretion - An elegant parasol with a black-and-white checkered design. When a button upon the handle is pressed, it will project a field of wind-aspected aether down from above, creating an isolated area directly beneath the parasol's cover. Allows for private conversations even in loud or crowded areas, with the added bonus of keeping out the wind and weather. It still allows breathable air through, of course.

Kitchenware of Conditional Sharpness - Premium kitchen knives in a variety of styles, wrought from high-carbon stainless steel. Each is imbued with enhanced durability and a hygienic effect, ensuring years of reliable service. While remarkably sharp, each piece also features a safety enchantment, which automatically dulls the edge upon direct contact with a living being's aetherial field. This is intended to prevent kitchen mishaps, though due caution should still be taken regardless.

Natural stones from Coerthas and beyond which have been enchanted with simple, single-function effects.

Soothing Stone	400g	A river stone from one of the many creeks of the Dravanian Forelands, smooth and perpetually cool to the touch. Imbued with a simple, reassuring enchantment which eases stress and anxiety when held in one's hand.
Stability Stone	800g	A chunk of dark basalt, weightier than it would appear from its small size. When carried, it provides a subtle centering effect, making it easier to keep one's footing and avoid being knocked off-balance. Particularly useful for those who spend a lot of time at sea.
Sympathy Stone	1,000g	A piece of sturdy quartzite, attached to a simple steel keychain. When affixed to a tool or object, the quartzite will slowly accumulate wear and tear in place of whatever it's linked with, eventually crumbling away once its power is fully spent.
Sweltering Stone	400g	A piece of tumbled andesite, smooth and shiny. Exudes a constant, mild warmth of lower intensity than that of a pure fire-aspected aether crystal. Makes an excellent hand-warmer.
Starlight Stone	800g	A Starlight at Twilight exclusive! This piece of deep blue zoisite catches the light beautifully, and indeed seems to make all nearby light sources and reflections shine just a little more brightly. Produces an especially dazzling sight when used as a Starlight tree ornament.

Starlight Snow Globes

Collectible snow globes produced especially for the Starlight at Twilight event, with embossed silver bases and globes of break-resistant crystal encompassing a variety of snowy scenes in miniature. Though, exactly which scene each customer will receive is left up to the whims of fate. Each snow globe is concealed within a simple wooden box emblazoned with a question mark, only to be opened upon purchase. Upon purchasing a Starlight Snow Globe, /random once to determine which scene you receive.
