As winter gives way to Spring, we would like to bring focus to new energy as nature blooms once more.For the occasion the Royal Menagerie has been rented out, and the East Aldenard Trading Company is providing airship transportation to and from the city. After a short speech, attendees will be invited to plant some flower seeds in a little pot (to take home) and/or in the garden; the key is to think about the goals you want to achieve! A ritual for intention setting, to manifest growth and balance in the coming year.

    • This is an immersive RP event! Please be in character at all times.

    • Be respectful to staff, contributors, and guests alike--both IC and OOC.

    • As this is an open world event, we encourage the use of the RP tag.

    • Everyone roleplays at different paces so please have patience.

    • This is a SFW event and we do not allow NSFW goods and services.

    • Prices for goods and services are RP only.

    • We hold the right to refuse any vendors, performers, etc from our event signups, should certain aspects not align with our values.

    • Keep all weapons sheathed while on event grounds!

    • Keep any fights away from the event area in order to not disrupt other guests.

    FAQ

    • Is this event for a real charity? NO! This is purely in character. However, we do encourage you donate to a cause you care about IRL!

    • Why include info about Sacred Oak? For context! Doku (the character) is the director of the Sacred Oak Foundation, and the events hosted by Twilight Fêtes will usually be operating through this foundation (IC).

    • What excuse would my character have to attend? Whether they come across a flyer, have business in the area, etc--the justification is up to you. Have fun! Don't bar yourself if you don't have to.

    • How can I get involved besides attending? See below for what we are looking for!

    • Do I need to have an established venue and website to sign up? No! Just fill out the necessary info on Discord.

    • How do I access the event area? You must have completed the Stormblood expansion MSQ. Speak with the Royal Menagerie Attendant at [x:36.4, y:32.1] to enter.

    The Sacred Oak Foundation is a nonprofit organization that strives to improve quality of life in orphanages across Eorzea and beyond, providing funding for care and health, education, necessities, and activities. To plant the seeds for brighter futures, and helping to nurture growth with a steady foundation. Our branches extend across Eorzea, Kugane, Yanxia, and Tuliyollal, with the hope of further and future expansion. Sacred Oaks' fundraising efforts include, but are not limited to, hosting interactive events.

    For Starlight at Twilight, Sacred Oak will be accepting donations of clothing, learning tools, and toys, to be organized and distributed as needed based on the specific needs of each orphanage. We will also accept monetary donations, to which the East Aldenard Trading Company has agreed to match. Drop-offs can be made with Doku, N'aja, and Mazi'li.

    How does the Egg Hunt work?

    Tasks and prizes are RP only.

    • Eggs can be acquired from booth leads, or by finding them around the event area. See below.

    • Booths: Visit participating vendors and activity booths and fulfill their egg hunt requirement! Once requirements have been reached, the booth lead will bestow an egg. See the directory for requirements.

    • Event area: See the attached list (right) for egg locations scattered around the event area, to be found at your discretion. Each location has a different prize so collect them all!

    An interactive simulation. While the enchanted space and eggs are real to the touch, any 'encounters' are merely an illusion.

    Dragon's Hoard Eggs-capade

    Within Doku's festival tent is an enchanted space, expanded and made to look like a grotto. Plants mingle naturally with the rocks, with shallow water covering the floor. Yet, a wide, flat stone platform can be seen. A large nest made with roots sits on top, and as you approach it is apparent that a small hoard of a dozen eggs rest inside. They don't seem to be real ones, but the idea of what could be inside is alluring...Perhaps you should attempt to take at least one? You have two moves.

    How to Play

    1. Dice rolls will be done in party chat. Accept the invite!

    2. Doku will present the opening scene and then relay a scenario that your character encounters after the eggs are picked up. There are 12 eggs!

    3. Respond with your character's first move. How do they handle the situation? Then roll a '/dice 12' to determine how many eggs survive.

    4. Doku will relay another scenario.

    5. Respond with your character's second move and then roll a '/dice [# of surviving eggs]'. This will determine how many eggs survive the eggs-capade.

    Prizes (RP Only)

    Based on # of eggs that survive.

    • 1 egg: A golden egg keychain

    • 2-5 eggs: A pastel flower wreath

    • 6-11 eggs: Medium plush (rabbit, dragon, or chocobo)

    • 12 eggs: Extra large Mandragora or Spriggan plush

    Naja Nonsense

    A test of your reflexes? Yes! But the stakes aren't nearly as high, unless you consider all these vegetables grown and harvested by the volunteers of the Sacred Oak Foundation and many others. (Doku very much considers this high stakes.) These mechanical moles are primed to eat the veggies despite having no need for sustenance! Show off your lightning fast reflexes like Naja popping bubbles or chasing after a bag caught by the wind! The more 'moles' you defeat, the more chances you have to save these oh so cute veggies!

    How to Play

    1. Roll a /dice in /party chat. Wait for the results!

    2. Repeat step one up to five times to increase your score!

    3. Enjoy having your inventory not-bloated with imaginary veggies!

    Prizes (RP Only)

    • Congratulations! Unlike last Naja Nonsense, there is no need for inventory space. All of these veggies you've earned through brutal combat are real in character but there is no need for your inventory to get bloated by ingredients you will never use.

    This spot is also a donation drop-off point for the Sacred Oak Foundation!

    Practical Magic

    An assortment of enchanted items from Yvana's workshop, with a focus on things useful in everyday life. Safety charms, simple conveniences, kitchen gadgets, and so on! The sorts of things that make excellent gifts, if you find yourself stumped as to what to get for someone. Novelty commemorative snow globes are also available, designed just for the event! These are blind boxes, with several different models featuring a variety of frigid creatures and scenes.

    Complex Items

    Specialty items manufactured from scratch within Yvana's workshop. These are generic items, rather than bespoke commissions, and thus have been designed with broad utility and convenience in mind.

    Universal Compass - A more intricate variation on the common Aether Compass, this model includes a dial upon its back which can be used to attune the needle to any of the six base elements of aether, rather than only wind. A seventh setting attunes the needle to a specific lodestone, allowing the compass to be used to point one's way home, or to some other location of choice where the lodestone has been placed. A complementary paired lodestone is included with each Universal Compass upon purchase.

    Shield Medallion - All-purpose personal protective charm. A stylized miniature shield made from embossed gold upon a silver backing, which can be worn as a necklace or pinned onto one's clothing. Its protective enchantment activates in response to both kinetic and elemental forces, safeguarding the wearer against potential harm. Use of this effect expends energy, of course, but the shield will recharge its reserves passively over time. While mainly intended for those traversing dangerous lands, this effect also helps insulate against extreme heat or cold. An additional model including a regeneration enchantment is also available for the especially prudent.
